Two weather systems will steer cold, cloudy weather our direction throughout the day Wednesday. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees colder than average for late-May.

A few rain showers will try to move in by the end of the day Wednesday, but most rain should hold off until Wednesday night. The heaviest rain will arrive Thursday and last all day.

The rain will be very chilly Thursday with high temperatures struggling to reach the 50° mark.

Meanwhile, winds may occasionally nip at us, up to 25-30 miles per hour across southern New England.

We expect 1 to 2 inches of rain from Wednesday night through Friday morning. River flooding is not expected, but minor coastal flooding may occur Thursday due to the strong winds.
