First, a frosty night can be expected in parts of New England overnight. Frost will be most likely in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, but a few towns in northwest Connecticut may get close to a frosty temperature overnight.

Wildfires burning in Canada have produced smoke plumes across both Canada and the United States. With shifting patterns, some smoke may drift over the state this week.

This will be upper-level smoke, not necessarily at the ground level. Temperatures will be warming several degrees Tuesday.

90° weather is set to return to Connecticut for the first time since late August 2024.

The hottest days will be Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday will feature the best chance to get into the 90's.

Our fingers are trembling as we type this, but we could see rain on Saturday...once again. 9 of the last 11 Saturdays have resulted in accumulating rainfall in Hartford. As of this forecast, our chance of rain Saturday stands at 60%.
