It'll be breezy with winds gusting between 25-35 mph out of the northwest.

Our pattern begins to change by the middle of the week with another area of low pressure expected to move in. It'll bring cooler than average temperatures and higher rain chances.

Temperatures will continue to cool throughout the week and by Thursday afternoon it'll be hard to be break the upper 40s to about 50°.

Scattered showers will begin Wednesday afternoon with peak rain chances on Thursday as the area of low pressure moves over us.

By Friday rain chances begin to go down but on and off scattered showers still look possible.

Most of the holiday weekend is looking dry although there could be a leftover shower on Saturday. After this system passes rain totals could amount to another inch or inch and a half of rain.

It wouldn't be out of the question for some towns to receive closer to two inches over the next week. The Weather Prediction Center has already placed CT under a level 1 flood risk for the end of next week.

The good news is that temperatures will begin to rebound back to near 70° by Sunday and Memorial Day Monday.
