
Golf great Tiger Woods came to Connecticut and he made a brief appearance at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell on Tuesday, but he is not here to play golf.
Woods is a member of the PGA Tour CEO search committee and he joined leaders of the organization for a media availability on Tuesday morning.

The PGA Tour announced on Tuesday morning that Brian Rolapp has been named Chief Executive Officer and he is joining the tour after spending more than two decades with the National Football League.
Andy Bessette, executive vice president and Chief Administrative Officer for Travelers, said they are expecting 200,000 people to watch the tournament between Thursday and Sunday.

"The beauty of an outdoor event is we have open fields. Everyone can come out and be a part of it," he said.
Bessette said it's the first time where 45 of the top 50 players will all be here competing, which speaks to the championship's growth over the years.
Businesses on Main Street in Cromwell are getting ready for a rush of people too.

Freddy's Pizza & Grinders is increasing staff and the food to make sure no one leaves hungry.
“We make sure we get on that and have a lot of slices out so they’re fresh for customers," Elyssa Efici, of Freddy's Pizza & Grinders, said.
Tony's Flour Shop will be outside its building, selling breakfast food at the crack of dawn.
"We hear there's a lot of traffic so we're going to try to keep it very efficient," Tony Palmieri, of Tony's Flour Shop, said. "We're very excited to have people in Cromwell."
The Pro-Am is on Wednesday and the tournament kicks off on Thursday.
