
A motorcyclist was killed after hitting a deer and then being hit by a car in Bethany on Monday night.
It happened on Route 69 (Litchfield Turnpike) near Wooding Hill Road around 9:40 p.m.

According to state police, 37-year-old Phillip Labonte, of Thomaston, was riding a motorcycle north on Route 69 when he hit a deer and was thrown from the motorcycle.
A car coming the other way then hit Labonte as he was lying in the road, state police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
