Later Wednesday, the U.S. Coast Guard confirmed two people were found dead on the sunken boat. Next of kin were notified.

"Our hearts go out to the families of both persons onboard," Commander Cliff Graham, a search and rescue mission coordinator for the case, said in a statement shared by the Coast Guard. "The level of support from our maritime response partners and members from the fishing and local community was remarkable. Family members say 64-year-old Shawn Arsenault and his girlfriend, 54-year-old Felicia Daley, set sail from Rock Harbor on Sunday.

"They've been dating for a couple months now, and they're crazy about each other," Shawn's brother, Paul Arsenault, told NBC10 Boston.

He said his brother was going clamming.

"He was very excited about his new equipment, he installed it, left Sunday morning, and he said that he wasn't coming back till he had his 30-bag limit, and that's the last I heard of him," Paul Arsenault said.

Aerial footage from the area of Saints Landing in Brewster showed the sunken boat in the water.

Arsenault was known to be remodeling the ship, the Coast Guard said Wednesday.
