Woman injured in crash on Berlin Turnpike in Newington is in critical condition

A 30-year-old Plainville woman who was injured in a crash on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington on Wednesday night is in critical condition, according to police.

They said her vehicle hit a traffic control signal stanchion near 2800 Berlin Turnpike around 5:06 p.m. and she sustained serious injuries.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad is leading the investigation.  Newington police ask anyone who saw the crash to call Sergeant Cappiello at (860) 594-6317.
